Marcella Lee
Our moderator for the APAC Mayoral Forum is News 8’s Marcella Lee. She is the weeknight anchor of “News 8 at 10 ” on the CW San Diego, the sister station to CBS-8, where Marcella reports on a variety of issues – Her Adopt 8 and Fostering Hope segments have helped more than 500 foster children find forever families.
Marcella is the recipient of 17 Regional Emmy Awards across multiple categories, including Best Anchor, Best Reporter, and Best in Breaking News for her coverage of the 2007 and 2014 wildfires in San Diego County. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, and has worked as a broadcast journalist in Lansing, Michigan —Columbus, Ohio—Denver, Colorado —and her hometown of Detroit.
In 2004, Marcella and her husband Tony moved to San Diego. They have planted deep roots in this community and are enjoying raising their 14 year-old-twins.
