Ten years ago, APAC was crucial to the formation of an Asian Pacific American influenced district in San Diego. APAC was prominently involved in the City of San Diego’s redistricting process in 2010 to 2011. APAC will get involved once again and ensure there is a fair representation of the voices of our Asian Pacific American community during this process and protect the neighborhoods community of interests especially in the Asian Pacific American influenced district.

The process for redistricting must include fair and effective representation for all citizens of the City, including racial, ethnic, and language minorities, and be in conformance with the requirements of the United States Constitution and Federal statutes.
